Arena has appointed a new centre manager! Peter Hardingham, 59, brings with him over 40 years experience in the retail sector, most recently within his thirteen-year tenure as Centre Manager at The Octagon Shopping Centre in Burton upon Trent.
He has also worked in a head office role for Birthdays / Clintons and as a Store Manager in several diverse locations at BHS, giving him experience across varying aspects of the retail sector.
Within his previous centre manager role, he worked closely with the local Chamber of Commerce and was also part of the locally formed board that helped secured government backing for Burton as part of the Town Deal Investment Plan.

“It couldn’t be a more exciting time to be taking up this role, with Coventry City of Culture taking place in 2021 and the Ricoh Arena hosting part of the Commonwealth Games in 2022.
“Arena has a great tenant mix and very high customer service levels and I’m looking forward to working closely with the outstanding team here to keep building on this success and to keep developing the centre and the customer experience.
“I’m already enjoying getting to know the local community and finding out their views about what would make the shopping park even better. I’m definitely already in love with Coventry!”
